SCHOLARSHIP

The Archway (MO) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated presents scholarships to deserving students as they enter their first year of college. The Community Service Scholarships are given annually and recognize the many hours a student spends helping others through service. A partnership with Scholarship Central guarantees a smooth on-line application process. Students received $10,000.00 in scholarships and book stipends during the Chapter’s 2019 Scholars Brunch at the Charles F. Knight Executive Education and Conference Center on the campus of Washington University.

The Archway (MO) Chapter is pleased to celebrate academic excellence and community service. The 2019 Scholars have served others in ways that support one or more of The Links, Incorporated five National Program Facets: Services to Youth, emphasizing the betterment of the lives of children, particularly those of African-American descent; The Arts, bringing attention to the contributions of African Americans who are involved in activities such as visual and performing arts, writing, and music; National Trends and Services, to address legislative and educational issues; International Trends and Services, focusing on improving the quality of life for people of color worldwide Health and Human Services, targeting health and wellness, healthy life styles, and obesity.

Excellent Community partners have stepped up to assist the chapter in funding the scholarships. They include The Ameren Corporation, the Mizell Family Legacy Foundation, Dr. Rosalyn P. Miles, MD, the Redwing Family, and Kendra Howard, JD.
